I have seen that almost all successful Forex traders do their live trading manually. They do live market analysis based on their technical and fundamental knowledge. So, what is the importance of an EA or robot in forex trading? Do you have any experience with robot trading? If yes, then how was it?

It might work, but honestly speaking, fundamental and technical analysis work best, as I have been using mostly fundamental analysis on the FreshForex broker, where almost every time I get results, so if possible, try to analyze more and more to trade Forex.
